Development Assessment Part 2 conducted Jonathan on Friday. It started with when we came to habilitation so told Jonathan that he needed to poop. Because crohn he still has not learned to go to the toilet and poop so I asked if they had any his potty - they just had a little potty but Jonathan refused it ... The psychologist came just seconds after so she asked if we had far or if we could go home with him and poop and then come back. She had nothing booked after him so it was good for her. So nice. So Jonathan went home and defecate, and then everything was much easier:-) Back at the Habilitation half an hour later and hoppsa-step into the work-room!
I thought it went great at certain moments, which issues where he would tick the yes and no, logic patterns and respond to things she thought of and described as he could guess what it was. The thing that did not go at all was to describe what you do with a bike and everyone why-questions.
Again, the psychologist had a large stopwatch, the old-fashioned kind that is ticking. I saw again how stressed Jonathan became of it and I know that there are other ways to measure time either fail or that one can do more discreet. Small unprofessional, I think actually it is. I feel I have to bring this up at the meeting next week when we'll get representation.
Keep your fingers crossed for Jonathan that everything went well. I wish and hope that it does not show that he has mental retardation. I think he's so smart and so good, have evolved more than I could ever dream of, so I hope it will also appear in these tests ... But I'm a little skeptical - so much has to do with talking and there has he big problems because of dyspraxia. Sometimes I feel that there is more than dyspraxia because he can not find the words. If you ask a detailed question that there should be an "easy" answer to that yes, no, or a word that can handle Jonathan is excellent. But when he himself should find the words, it's like he can not express it, did not obtain it. Yes, yes - we must continue training only. I have an appointment with the speech therapist on Tuesday and thought I would take it up with her when we surrender ago.

The thing about not finding the words. I tend to think that our son has "access problems" (do not know if it's a real word). He can, it's just that it's hard to find that knowledge. For him it is not only words but the most part.
Sit here and smile and think of it, where to get the poop NECESSARY in the most difficult situations .... so it has been with our Tjabolina too. She enjoyed very hard stomach but enough sjuttan she has become NECESSARY when you do not really have the opportunity to poop. How wonderful that you wrote about it in the middle of everything!
