The medical director of the general referral hospital in Kisangani, Dr. Hubert Kakalo, requires health authorities and other partners to help these poor women. He made the call, Friday, May 23, on the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of obstetric fistula. "Repair is not a problem but there is a problem with funding. These are interventions that are expensive. One patient can be made two or three times before it is completely healed. It really requires resources. There are people who can help these patients by supporting financially hernia symptoms because I'll take care of the technical side, "said Dr. Hubert Kakalo.
